Mercy Robotic Surgery
Patient Testimony
Randy Holleyman, a 57-year-old petroleum engineer,
was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer,
further complicated by a bone scan and a CT scan indicating a likely
metastasis on the right femur. “I was three days from going to M.D.
Anderson for further testing and probable treatment when I decided to
see Dr. Link for a second opinion. It turns out that this appointment
changed the direction of my life. Dr. Link recommended a bone biopsy of
the lesion on my hip, prior to the appointment at M.D. Anderson, for a
more definitive diagnosis. The bone biopsy was benign and I was now free
to consider robotic surgery as a treatment option with new hope that the
cancer might still be localized in the prostate.”
“After researching several other surgeons in other
states who were well known for this procedure, and comparing their
credentials to Dr. Link, I became convinced that Dr. Link was the right
guy for me. His experience, professionalism, self confidence, compassion
and commitment to excellence were all evident and made for an easy
decision. The procedure and recovery went exactly as planned and the
cancer was still localized in the prostate. I am so grateful to be under
Dr. Link’s care and am blessed by his skilled hands.” |
