Mercy Memorial Names New President
Ardmore—Mindy Burdick has been named Mercy
Memorial Health Center’s president, effective October 20.
Burdick brings 31 years of health care experience to
Mercy Memorial, most recently serving as the administrator at Baptist
Medical Center, part of the Baptist Health System in Montgomery,
Alabama. Burdick has deep roots in Texas, having spent 26 years in
varied positions of responsibility, ranging from critical care nurse to
chief operating officer for United Regional Health Care System in
Wichita Falls.
Burdick will assume full oversight and
responsibility for Mercy Memorial Health Center, along with the master
campus planning and construction, and the growing network of integrated
physicians.
“Mindy’s experience in health care and her
outstanding credentials make her the ideal choice to lead Mercy
Memorial,” said Di Smalley, president and chief executive officer of
Mercy Health System of Oklahoma. “Mindy will be invaluable as she
understands the regional dynamics very well. She also has close family
members in Dallas. I believe she’ll be very much at home as she joins
the Ardmore community.”
Burdick received both bachelor’s and master’s
degrees in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington in
Arlington, Texas, and a master’s in health care administration from
Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. She is a fellow of the
American College of Healthcare Executives, council president for the
Central Division Alabama Hospital Association and participates in a
variety of healthcare and community organizations.
Mercy Memorial Health Center is a member of Mercy
Health System of Oklahoma and the Sisters of Mercy Health System.
