Mercy Memorial Welcomes New Wound Center Physician

Ardmore — Melissa B. Alworth, D.O., is the newest physician to join Mercy Memorial’s Wound Care Center and Hyperbaric Medicine.

Dr. Alworth received her medical degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed her residency in emergency medicine at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas. She and her family recently moved to Ardmore from Houston.

“We are very pleased to welcome Dr. Alworth to Mercy Memorial,” said Mindy Burdick, Mercy Memorial’s president. “Her background will help us grow our services at the wound center, allowing us to offer more physician coverage and appointments for patients.”

Dr. Alworth is a member of the American Osteopathic Association. She will join physicians Larry Long, M.D., and Lloyd Landis, D.P.M., at the wound center.
