Mercy Memorial Names Barnard Vice President
Ardmore — Ryan Barnard, PharmD, MBA, has been named
Mercy Memorial Health Center’s vice president of support services.
Barnard has been with Mercy Memorial since 2004, serving as the
executive director of pharmacy and support services.
Barnard received his bachelor’s in biology from West
Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas, in 1998 and a doctorate of
pharmacy from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Amarillo
and Dallas, Texas, in 2003. He also completed a master’s of business
administration from the University of Oklahoma in 2008. Barnard, who was
born and raised in Amarillo, Texas, lives in Ardmore with his wife,
Michelle and their three children.
Barnard was instrumental in Mercy Memorial’s
transition to Omnicell, an automated dispensing system for supplies and
medication. The intention behind Omnicell is to increase patient safety
by ensuring the right medication is given at the right time to each
patient. He was also responsible for implementing a government program
that helped decrease Mercy Memorial’s drug costs.
“Ryan has served Mercy well over the last five
years. His leadership experience and passion for excellence will serve
Mercy Memorial well in the years to come,” said Mindy Burdick, Mercy
Memorial’s president.
