Author and Grammy Nominee Joins Mercy
Memorial’s Women’s Health Forum
Ardmore — Mercy Memorial is hosting Sheila
Walsh — Grammy-nominated Christian music artist and best-selling author
— for this year’s seventh annual Women’s Health forum. More than 1,400
women are expected to attend this Thursday, April 21, at the Ardmore
Convention Center.
As the keynote speaker of the evening, Walsh, a
former 700 Club co-host, will give southern Oklahoma women tips on
stress management, offer spiritual support and advice on ways to cope
with the anxieties of trying to do it all. The evening will also include
the latest in women’s health with a variety of educational booths,
including a healthy lifestyle cooking demonstration, and a panel of
doctors. Pamela Kimbrough, M.D., Mercy Memorial
obstetrician/gynecologist, Daniel Harris, M.D., Mercy Memorial surgeon,
and William Parsons, D.O., Mercy Memorial internist, will answer women’s
most pertinent questions.
Women will get a chance to relax, let their hair
down and take some quality time for themselves to restore their body,
mind and spirit. In addition, women will enjoy a healthy meal provided
by El Chico, free T-shirts, great door prizes and the opportunity to get
a CD signed by Walsh.
This forum is for adult women only. Doors will open
at 5:30 p.m. and the program will begin at 6 p.m. Admission is free for
all registered attendees. To reserve your seat today, call (580)
220-6755 or you may register online at www.mercyok.net.
