Mercy Names Paquin VP of Mission and Ethics

Oklahoma City— Leo Paquin has been named Mercy Health Center’s vice president of mission and ethics.

Paquin joins Mercy from Catholic Charities in Portland, Maine, where he served as the director of mission integration. For more than 20 years, Paquin has worked in Catholic social services, as well as taught theology to his local parish, diocesan and area colleges.

Paquin received his bachelor’s in systematic theology from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire, a master’s in systematic theology from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, and a doctorate in practical theology from Bangor Theological Seminary in Bangor, Maine. From 1996 to 2000, Paquin served as a mediator for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland Office of Due Process.

“Leo will be a great addition to our team,” said Mike Packnett, president and CEO of Mercy Health System of Oklahoma. “He has had extensive experience regionally and nationally with charities, and has served as a counselor to homeless families and the developmentally disabled. He will be very valuable to our Mercy team.”

Paquin recently moved to Oklahoma City with his wife, Rita, and their three children. In his spare time, Paquin enjoys hiking, bicycling, gardening and woodworking.
