Mercy Hosts Free Health Talks & Screenings
Oklahoma City — Mercy Health Center will host two
free sessions in July for anyone who wants to know more about arthritis,
osteoporosis, bone density and cancer. Each session will feature a short
talk by a physician, along with a Q&A segment.
Sessions include:
Arthritis Thursday, July 9, 6:30 p.m. Mark Hulsey,
M.D., a rheumatologist at Mercy Health North May clinic, will discuss
the different types of arthritis and treatments available, how arthritis
differs from osteoporosis and what exactly bone density is and why it’s
important. Bone density heel screenings will also be available at no
charge for attendees.
Cancer Screening Thursday, July 23, 6:30 p.m.
Muzaffar Saleemi, M.D., a family medicine physician at Mercy Health
North May clinic, will talk about who needs cancer screenings, why, when
and next steps. Nurse navigators from the Mercy Cancer Resource Center
will also be on hand to answer questions.
