Mercy Hosts Free Health Seminars
Oklahoma City—Mercy Health Center will host
two free seminars this month for anyone who wants to know more about
sleep problems, menopausal symptoms or bone health. Each seminar will
feature a short talk by a physician, along with a Q&A segment.
Seminars include:
Menopausal Symptoms, Bone Density and Osteoporosis
Friday, April 17, 2 p.m.
Shu-Ming Wang, M.D., a family medicine physician at Mercy Health North
May clinic, will discuss women’s issues such as menopausal symptoms and
osteoporosis and why it’s critical that women take charge of their
health. She will cover prevention, treatments and chronic disease
management.
Sleep
Monday, April 27, 2 p.m.
Gary Lawrence, M.D., a family medicine physician at Mercy Health Edmond
Memorial clinic, will talk about why a good night’s sleep is essential
to one’s health. He will discuss why inadequate sleep may cause
irritability, forgetfulness and depression.
