Mercy Names Burner New Chief of Staff

Oklahoma City — Steven Burner, M.D., a family medicine physician, has been named Mercy Chief of Staff for 2008.

Dr. Burner completed his medical degree at The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Before becoming board certified, he performed a residency and internship at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Dr. Burner has been a physician at Mercy Health Northwest Family clinic since 1995, and has been a member of the medical staff at Mercy Health Center since 1982.

Dr. Burner, a fellow of American Academy of Family Physicians, has also been a member of the American Medical Association, Oklahoma State Medical Association, Oklahoma Academy of Family Physicians, Oklahoma County Medical Association and Oklahoma Foundation for Medical Quality. Dr. Burner is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Family Medicine at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
