Mercy Welcomes New Edmond Physician

Edmond—Gary Lawrence, M.D., a family medicine physician, is the newest member to join the team at Mercy Health Edmond Memorial.

“For 25 years, I have served the Weatherford community and have loved every minute of it,” said Dr. Lawrence. “But because we have parents whose health is on the decline and all of our three grown children are in school in the Oklahoma City metro area, we’ve made the decision to move to the city. While it was difficult to leave Weatherford, I am excited about joining Mercy – a compassionate and successful medical team where I can continue to help families and improve medical care in my new community.”

Dr. Lawrence, who graduated from Okmulgee High School, received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma, and completed a residency in family practice at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
