Healdton Municipal
Hospital
Adds Weekend Physician
Coverage
Healdton
—Healdton Municipal Hospital has added 24-hour physician coverage on the
weekends. Doctors Ynal Bik, Mark Newey and Stephen Treadwell will provide
emergency room coverage from 8 p.m. Friday to 8 p.m. Sunday.
“We are excited
about having physicians here to cover the weekends,” said Rick Pack,
hospital administrator. “Not only does it help us in our continuum of
quality care effort but it is encouraging to see the doctors serve the
community in this way.” Healdton’s emergency room will continue to operate
24 hours a day, Monday through Friday.
“The hospital
administrators, staff and physicians are all committed to making this
emergency room the best that it can be,” said Pack. “With more than 300
patients a month coming through the emergency room, we understand that the
wait can sometimes be a little long. We want to assure the community that
we are doing everything we can to reduce those times and still maintain a
level of care that is second to none.”
Healdton
Municipal Hospital is managed by Mercy Memorial Health Center—a member of
Mercy Health System of Oklahoma and the Sisters of Mercy Health System-St.
Louis.
