Because you get test results back more quickly.  Telemedicine uses existing phone lines and Internet technology to create a faster and easier way for your doctor to communicate with radiology specialists.  As a result, patients won't need to wait for x-rays to be transported to the hospital providing results and a diagnosis more quickly.

Rural Oklahomans have greater access to radiology specialists via a high-speed teleradiology network linking hospitals in Healdton, Sulphur, Marietta and Ardmore.
