Quality indicators

There are many ways to measure quality. You’ll want to look at these key indicators – and others – to help you make an informed decision about your healthcare.

Clinical safety

Clinical safety refers to a safe medical environment for patients and families. It is a place where the potential for harm or injury is reduced to the lowest possible level.

Improving safety involves examining the ways in which errors or mistakes happen to patients and then working to remove or reduce the opportunity for a potential error. The Clinical Safety Team is constantly looking at ways to reduce medical errors in order to improve safety.
