Quality indicators:

Why should experience

be important to you?

The more experience the doctor has, the better the results. A majority of studies find lower patient mortality rates for given procedures when the hospital or physician has high-volume experience performing that procedure (Annals of Internal Medicine, 9/17/02)

Experience

Research confirms that more experience means better outcomes (JAMA, March 2000). In the past six years, the total procedures performed at Mercy Women’s Center has more than doubled. Those procedures include diagnostic and screening mammograms (both digital and film), ultrasounds, biopsies, bone density testing and more.

Accreditation

Mercy Women’s Center holds full accreditation from the American College of Radiology.
